A Chihuahua With Purpose

I like the idea of blogging with purpose.
My purpose for blogging is to engage, entertain, inform and connect. There are days when a photo inspires a poem or a song. There are days where the sun paints the picture of what's posted. There are times when informing becomes necessary.

And times when just a photo says it all.

Thanks to all who come visit my tiny blog.  As most of you know chihuahuas are the second most euthanized dog in the United States.  I like to help to show others that a chihuahua has purpose.  That a chihuahua can be a therapy dog.  That a chihuahua if well socialized can be a good member of the family.  And that with training, (not just the chihuahua) but people and children in the household -and understanding - we can try to reduce the numbers of euthanized, abandoned, abused and neglected chihuahuas. Not just through blogging, but through social media.  The first thing most people say when they meet me is "Wow, what a calm chihuahua!"  "My mother (sister, brother, cousin, friend) has one and all they do is yap or growl and we hate it (can't wait for it to die, etc.)."  Yes, I've heard this numerous times.  Very sad.  Because often times it is people who are to blame for the chihuahua being 'that way.'   Informing  and blogging is a way for me to make a difference.  I also run a chihuahua socialization group and I cannot tell you the number of times we've saved a chihuahua from being given up.  By teaching, informing, socializing and at times bringing in expert speakers to help people parent their chihuahuas better.   This is my purpose.  It wasn't planned, it just happened. I thank God for my purpose because it is a good one. I am lucky.  I get to save other dogs' lives, help people when they are ill, help children learn to read, bring comfort to those in need, teach people about caring, compassion and show that a little dog like me can make a difference.  Thank you for visiting me today.

WOOF!

Please note:  I  read all responses and do my best to answer every single time, unless there are life occurrences that do not allow me to.  Please know I read every one of your commetns and your visit means a lot to me.  Thank you again.

Ain't Misbehavin'

Piranha's Words of Wisdom:
When you're about to be accused (and you know you did it),  go hide in fluffy blankets where you won't be found (also helps if you pretend you're sleeping).
